Light beyond the lighthouses

Our services

Valuable architecture, ancient residences, historic villas.

The renovation of the historical structures of the Italian lighthouses is the origin of everything. Redesigned to become containers of life, art and culture, the lighthouses aspire to become vehicles for the use of lands that are often difficult to reach, characterised by the iconic presence of sea beacons. But the work of New Fari aims to bring light back to different structures: from buildings of historical, artistic and landscape value, belonging to the public heritage, to historic villas, to ancient palaces.

Faro Capo-Spartivento

Chia – Sardinia

An extraordinary example of the renovation of a piece of military architecture, the new Capo-Spartivento Lighthouse represents an unusual hospitality offering in the south of Sardinia. Home of the lighthouse-keepers until the 80s, the lighthouse was forgotten for three decades, only to find new light around 2010 and become an unprecedented accommodation facility in Italy. Away from everyone, but next to its own intimacy, overlooking the boundless horizon of the Mediterranean, the Lighthouse envelops its guests in a combination of absolute privacy and disarming charm.

Isola di San Secondo

Island of San Secondo – Venezia

An ideal land of half a dozen thousand square metres between Venice and the water, the island of San Secondo pops up in the middle of the lagoon and is visible to travellers who go towards the Serenissima, to the left of the Bridge of Freedoms. Throughout its history it was first a powder storeroom, then a lazzaretto (quarantine station) during the plague and today it is preparing to become a new tourist and cultural landing point. The reclamation of the entire area and the renovation of the former powder storeroom, military heritage of the 1700s, are the main interventions of New Fari, together with the aim of restoring light to a lagoon space of immense historical and natural value. The new structure will be organised as follows: Fort and Stores . 6 suites, dining and tea room, cellar, terrace, infinity pool, jacuzzis, central courtyard with gazebo events, fitness and spa. Dock and Park: a new dock for tourist use will be characterised by facilities for catering and outdoor events, all framed by a park equipped for sports activities, shows and cultural events.

Faro della Guardia

Island of Ponza – Lazio

Among the most important properties listed by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Lighthouse of the Guard, built in 1886 on the Island of Ponza, stands on a spur of volcanic rock, in a cliff, lying on the sea 279 metres high. Considered the third lighthouse in Italy in terms of light power, the structure inhabits a completely intact territory. The renovation project of the Lighthouse by New Fari, in fact, is based on the idea of conservative and sustainable restoration, which can take the users of the property back in time, on a historical and emotional journey. The intervention in progress will allow for the historic structures to be reconverted and reused in a touristic and cultural perspective, giving life to a refuge for unique and very high-level experiences, also accessible by private helicopter.

Semaforo di Capo Figari

Golfo Aranci – Sardinia

In the North of Sardinia, in that wonderful land called Gallura, 344 metres high, stands the ancient structure of the Capo Figari Lighthouse. Overlooking the Golfo Aranci, the Lighthouse was constructed in 1890 and chosen by the architect Marconi, in the early 1930s, for an experiment that put a transmitter located near Rome in communication with a receiving station installed right in Capo Figari. Beyond this brief moment of glory, the lighthouse was first abandoned and then forgotten. Today, it is preparing to embark on a new life and open up to hospitality, thanks to the intervention designed by New Fari, which provides for the organisation of the structure in two blocks: the Lighthouse, consisting of 6 suites, dining and tea room, cellar, terrace, jacuzzis, digital media library, and the Serra Battery, which contains 2 suites, wellness/spa and events area and a sensory pool.
